El Kanah means, literally, God’s Possession. It is a place defined by its ministries and by the community of people that share its life and vision.
We provide comfortable and affordable holiday accommodation for private guests and also cater for various groups - church, walking, photography for example – who run their own activities.
We are a Christian organisation that offers care, support and warm hospitality to all who enter our doors regardless of religion or nationality. At present we rely on donations and funds from private guests to maintain El Kanah and its assistance to others.
One of El Kanah’s main aims is to provide a place of belonging, where people can feel safe and enjoy the peace and tranquility that El Kanah provides. To allow as many as possible to enjoy El Kanah we offer subsidised and low-priced accommodation.
El Kanah also provides professional counseling at heavily subsidised rates for its residents and the community. We also run relationship and marriage education programs. Marriage counseling supports these programs if required.
